How to Give Mom the Perfect Mother’s Day Trip to Homer
Stroll the Homer Spit
Start your day off by taking a leisurely stroll along the Homer Spit. This 4.5-mile stretch of land juts out into Kachemak Bay and is home to some of the best views in town. Along the way, you’ll find plenty of shops, restaurants, and galleries. Stop in at one of the many local boutiques for some unique gifts for Mom or pick up some fresh seafood from one of the dockside vendors.
Picnic on Bishop’s Beach Park
After exploring the Spit, head over to Bishop’s Beach Park for a picnic lunch with Mom. This beachfront park offers breathtaking views of Kachemak Bay and is a great spot for swimming, fishing, or just relaxing on the sand.
