These are three of our favorite art galleries in downtown Homer. This stretch of Pioneer Avenue is also known as Old Town Homer, and it’s lined with hidden gems like coffee shops, boutique stores, and more. Be sure to stroll around this area after your art gallery visit to see what else it has to offer!
1. Ptarmigan Arts
Ptarmigan Arts has been a staple in Homer’s art scene for more than 35 years. In recent years, local artists purchased the gallery, which now operated a cooperative. Here, you can view pieces from more than 30 local artists and even meet them yourself, as they staff the gallery. You can find nearly any type of art here, including woodworking, pottery, paintings, sculptures, and more!
2. Fireweed Gallery
Looking for the perfect piece of art to remember your trip by? Then head to Fireweed Gallery. This art gallery in downtown Homer boasts a rotating selection of for-sale fine arts and crafts. You can find traditional fine art prints here, as well as handcrafted serving bowls, aprons, and more. 3. Art Shop Gallery
Art Shop Gallery is another great place to find Alaska-made treasures. This art gallery features beautiful paintings of the area and its native flora and fauna.
